Job Description : Available Research Funding Opportunities
An Innovative Method for Assessing Shrinkage Cracking of Concrete / Fibre-reinforced Concrete: Experimental and Numerical Modelling
Applications are invited for a 3-year research studentship to be based at the School of Engineering and Design at Brunel University (BU), leading to the award of the PhD degree. The research area will be on the development of an innovative method for assessing shrinkage cracking of concrete / fibre-reinforced concrete, involving both experimental and numerical investigation.

Eligibility: Applications are invited from candidates with a 2.1 degree or higher, a master degree preferred, in civil engineering or other closely related engineering discipline. The successful candidate is expected to be an innovative thinker with good communication skills and should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to conduct research to meet demanding deadlines. Please note this studentship is ONLY available to UK home and EU students subjected to EPSRC student eligibility. Please refer to EPSRC link to check your eligibility before making application

For EU students, he/she has to live in the UK for at least years when taking this PhD studentship.
The Scholarship: The studentship will cover tuition fees to home/EU level and provide an enhanced living allowance over the basic stipend (currently £13,200 per annum).
